WTERT and Socleen hosted a seminar on Green Belt and Landscape Development, themed “Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience,” in celebration of World Environment Day 2024. Held on 6 June at Yashwantrao Chavan Sabagriha, Nariman Point, the event featured notable presentations by Prof. Varshney and Prof. A.D. Sawant on the Green Belt concept. Key topics such as soil conditioning and quarry restoration added depth to the dialogue. The seminar was graced by the presence of Dr. Pheroza D. Godrej, President Emeritus of the National Society of the Friends of Trees, bringing a wealth of experience to the event. It was a privilege to contribute my expertise in Ecological Landscape Design and Planning, sharing valuable insights at this well-organized function.
