RUA Ecospaces Conducts Webinar on Rainwater Harvesting – What, Why, How? Water Security and Flood Control Techniques.

As part of its ongoing Knowledge Series on Sustainable Development, RUA Ecospaces LLP successfully hosted an insightful online webinar titled “Rainwater Harvesting – What, Why, How? Water Security and Flood Control Techniques.” The webinar brought together leading experts in rainwater harvesting, groundwater management, water conservation, and sustainable urban development to discuss practical strategies for addressing today’s growing water challenges.
With increasing urbanization, declining groundwater levels, and frequent flooding, rainwater harvesting has become an essential component of resilient infrastructure and sustainable building design. The webinar explored how effective stormwater management, groundwater recharge, and artificial recharge systems can improve water security while reducing the environmental impacts of rapid urban growth.
The session commenced with opening remarks by Dr. Roshni Udyavar Yehuda, CEO of RUA Ecospaces LLP, who emphasized the importance of integrating sustainable water management into planning and design. The technical sessions featured renowned experts Dr. Amar N. Joshi, Consulting Geologist; Mr. Ayush Bisht, Blue Evangelist at Retas Enviro Solutions Pvt. Ltd.; and Mr. Deepak Jain, Proprietor of NEER and an accredited consultant of the Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA). The speakers shared valuable insights on groundwater exploration, aquifer recharge, rainwater harvesting design, regulatory requirements, innovative technologies, and practical implementation across residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
The webinar attracted architects, engineers, developers, sustainability consultants, environmental professionals, students, and industry practitioners, creating an engaging platform for knowledge exchange. The interactive Q&A session enabled participants to discuss real-world challenges and best practices in water conservation, groundwater recharge, flood mitigation, and sustainable infrastructure development.
